PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO AMEND 2023-2033 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Opportunity for Public Review and Comment 21–Day Public Notice April 7, 2026 to April 30, 2026 The Central Midlands Council of Governments (CMCOG) currently has proposed amendments for the FY 2023-2033 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). These proposed amendments are available for public review and comment. The TIP serves as the 10-year project priority listing and funding program for the Columbia Area Transportation Study (COATS) Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and as the Program of Projects for the urban area transit agency, the CMRTA. Proposed Amendment(s) to the 2023-2033 Transportation Improvement Program include(s): 1. The addition of $578,324 in FY 2023 Section 5339 funds to the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority for the purchase of 35-foot Replacement Diesel Vehicle. 2. The addition of $55,000 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for Crime Prevention and Security. 3. The addition of $137,500 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for Planning. 4. The addition of $80,000 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for Landscaping and Scenic Beautification. 5. The addition of $120,000 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for ADP Software. 6. The addition of $40,000 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for Miscellaneous Bus Station Equipment. 7. The addition of $103,554 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for acquiring Mobile Fare Collection. 8. The addition of $1,895,500 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for the purchase of Replacement Cutaways. 9. The addition of $255,425 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for ADP Hardware. 10. The addition of $351,825 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for JARC Vanpool Operations. 11. The addition of $1,912,500 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for the purchase of three 40-foot buses. 12. The addition of $295,350 in FY 2021 Section 5307 funds to the CMRTA for the rehab/renovation of the Administration/Maintenance Facility. 13. The addition of $2.5 million in guideshare funds for the Bush River Road/Piney Grove Road Sidewalk Projects. The COATS MPO gives notice of intent to amend its 2023-2033 Transportation Improvement Program.
