Public Notice Public Hearing on Budget Amendment Pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. Sections 6-1-80 (1976, as amended) the Board of School Commissioners of School District No. 1 of Richland County (the "Board"), the governing body of School District No. 1 of Richland County, South Carolina (the "School District") will conduct a public hearing (the "Hearing") related to an amendment to the School District's annual budget (the "Budget Amendment") for the fiscal year 2025-2026. The proposed Budget Amendment anticipates an increase of carryforward monies from the School District's general fund balance to fund the timely purchase of information technology equipment and in particular, computers, and related hardware and software. The Hearing will be held during the Board meeting on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 6:00 pm (or as soon thereafter as time permits) in the Stevenson Administration Building, which is located at 1616 Richland Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
