Code Ann. § 58-33-10 et seq., and Request to Proceed with Initial Construction Work Pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. § 58-33-110(7) - Docket No. 2025-276-E Why is this Notice Important and what is the Project in this case? SR Cordova, LLC, ("SR Cordova") filed an application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Convenience and Necessity to construct and operate a 100 MW solar photovoltaic ("PV") generating facility (the "Cordova Project" or "Project") in Orangeburg County with the Public Service Commission of South Carolina (the "Commission"). SR Cordova, LLC also requests to proceed with initial construction work. Project – Name of Line: Cordova Project Project Description: Solar PV generating facility located on an approximately 1209 acre undeveloped site Project Composition: Ground mounted solar PV system comprised of solar arrays, inverters, transformers, racking, posts, wiring, security cameras and other accessories Affected Municipality: Orangeburg County, South Carolina Design Voltage: 100 MW Approximate Area of Project: Approximately 3.5 miles southwest of the City of Orangeburg and approximately 1.5 miles northeast of the City of Cordova Major Roads: Site is bordered by Mixon Mill Road to the west and Cannon Bridge Road to the east Why is SR Cordova asking the Commission to issue a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Convenience and Necessity in this case? SR Cordova executed a purchase power agreement with Central Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. ("Central") to support the Meta data center to be built in Aiken County, South Carolina, and SR Cordova expects to provide its energy to Central no later than December 31, 2027. The energy and capacity provided by the Project will directly and simultaneously support Central's service of the Meta data center and advance Central's 2023 Integrated Resource Plan objectives. The case was filed according to S.C. Code Ann. Section 58-33-10 et seq., S.C. Code Ann. Section 58-37-100 et seq., and S.C. Code Ann. Section 58-33-110(7) and S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 103-823 and other applicable rules and regulations of the Commission; and this hearing has been scheduled according to S.C. Code Ann. Section 58-33-130 and S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 103-817.
