The purpose of this proceeding includes determining the person or persons, if any, entitled to receive workers' compensation death benefits arising from the death of KHYRE GRIER, and determining whether such benefits may be awarded, approved, or distributed under the North Carolina Workers' Compensation Act. Any person who claims to be a child or who claims to be the guardian of a child entitled to receive workers' compensation death benefits arising from the death of KHYRE GRIER must assert that claim in writing with the North Carolina Industrial Commission and provide written notice of the claim to counsel for Defendants. Unless otherwise ordered by the North Carolina Industrial Commission, any such claim or response must be asserted within 40 days after September 4, 2026, being on or before October 14, 2026.
