Legal Notice As provided in the North Carolina General Statutes, 163-33.8, the citizens of Mecklenburg County are hereby notified that on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 a General Election will be conducted for US Senate (1 seat); US House Districts 8, 12 and 14; NC Supreme Court Associate Justice; NC Court of Appeals (3 seats); NC State Senate Districts 37, 38, 39, 40, 41 and 42; NC State House Districts 88, 92, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107 and 112; Superior Court Judge Districts 26C, 26F, 26H (1 seat each); NC District Court Judge (10 seats); District Attorney; Board of Commissioners At-Large, Board of Commissioners Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6; Clerk of Superior Court; Sheriff; Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor (2 seats); three (3) Constitutional Amendments; and three (3) City of Charlotte Municipal Bonds (for City of Charlotte residents only). All one hundred and ninety-five (195) precincts will be open from 6:30am through 7:30pm on November 3, 2026 for the General election. There will be 25 early voting locations opening Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 8 am. Early voting will end October 31, 2026 at 3pm at all 25 locations. You can register and vote at any early voting location and you can update your registration. For the exact locations and hours of operation and/or for your election day polling location, visit the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections web site at www.meckboe.org or contact the Elections Office at 704-336-2133. You will be asked to show PHOTO ID to vote in North Carolina. Acceptable IDs include your North Carolina driver's license or ID card. Other acceptable forms of PHOTO ID can be found on our website at www.meckboe.org. Voter Registration and changes of address, for the November 3, 2026 General Election will close 5:00 pm Friday, October 9, 2026. Qualified voters who are not certain whether they are registered for this election should visit the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections web site at www.meckboe.org or contact the Elections Office at 704-336-2133.
