Public Notice Pursuant to North Carolina Chapter 130A-295.01(e)(2), this serves to meet the annual notice requirements for the Univar Solutions USA LLC ("Univar Solutions", formerly Univar Solutions USA Inc) facility located at 3930 Glenwood Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina. Univar Solutions operates a waste handling and storage facility that receives hazardous and non-hazardous waste in Department of Transportation approved containers. These containers are stored on-site and then shipped to government approved treatment, storage, and disposal facilities. No waste is treated or mixed at this facility and containers remain sealed. Waste products handled at this facility include spent solvents, spent acids, plating wastes, used oil, and other industrial by-products. Univar Solutions does not handle radioactive wastes, biological wastes, or materials containing PCBs. Univar Solutions maintains an approved emergency response plan that includes spill prevention and proper waste handling training. The emergency response plan describes the facility's response to a fire, explosion, or release to the environment of oil or hazardous waste. Univar Solutions places significant emphasis on safety and proper handling of wastes to prevent spills and reactions. In case a spill occurs, Univar Solutions maintains appropriate spill control equipment and has a local emergency response contractor available.
