NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – 2026.07.14
The Board of Commissioners of the Town of Waxhaw will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 6:30 PM or soon thereafter in the Waxhaw Town Hall Board Chambers, located at 4218 Waxhaw-Marvin Road, Waxhaw, NC to receive public comment regarding the proposed designation of certain Town-owned property as economic development property pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes §158-7.1.
The Board of Commissioners will consider a resolution determining that the above-referenced properties are being held for the purpose of economic development and may later be conveyed in accordance with the provisions of N.C.G.S. §158-7.1 to stimulate economic development, increase the tax base, create employment opportunities, and promote the general welfare of the Town and its citizens. The properties proposed for designation are:
321 North Broome Street, Waxhaw, NC, Parcel ID No. #05113037D
316 North Church Street, Waxhaw, NC, Parcel ID No. #05113037
The public is invited to attend the hearing to comment on the proposed designation of the above-referenced properties as being held for economic development purposes. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to recess the public hearing to another place and time. For further information regarding this matter, please contact the Town Clerk at (704) 843-2195.
