NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE NORTH CAROLINA MEDICAL CARE COMMISSION REGARDING THE FINANCING OF HEALTH CARE FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS WITH THE PROCEEDS OF THE ISSUANCE OF TAX-EXEMPT BONDS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North Carolina Medical Care Commission, a commission of the Department of Health and Human Services of the State of North Carolina (the "Commission"), has been requested by The Presbyterian Home At Charlotte, Inc., d/b/a The Sharon at SouthPark (the "Corporation") to issue pursuant to a plan of financing, in one or more series or issues, qualified 501(c)(3) bonds as defined in Section 145 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the "Bonds"), to (a) finance, including reimbursing the Corporation for expenditures relating to, improvements to the continuing care retirement community known as The Sharon at SouthPark, including, without limitation, (i) constructing and equipping 64 new independent living units in a five-story building with two levels of underground garage parking, (ii) constructing and equipping of mixed-use office, retail and commons areas on the first floor of the new independent living building and (iii) constructing and equipping a fitness and wellness facility (collectively with (i) and (ii), the "Project"), (b) fund a debt service reserve fund for certain of the Bonds, if necessary, (c) fund capitalized interest on the Bonds and (d) fund certain costs of issuance relating to the Bonds. The Project is or will be located at 5100 Sharon Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28210. The Project will be owned and operated by the Corporation. The maximum stated principal amount of the Bonds to be issued with respect to the Project is $200,000,000. The Commission will hold a public hearing in Conference Room L2-02210 at 1915 Health Services Way, 2nd Floor, Raleigh, North Carolina 27607 on June 29, 2026 at 11:30 pm, at which time interested individuals will have an opportunity to express their views, orally or in writing, on the proposed issue of the Bonds and the location and nature of the Project. Any person wishing to comment in writing regarding the proposed issue and the location and nature of the Project should do so within seven days after the date of publication of this notice to Mr. Geary W.
