UNION COUNTY – SOUTH PIEDMONT REGIONAL AUTOPSY CENTER BID REQUEST FOR NEW FACILITY: Wharton-Smith, Inc., the Construction Manager at Risk for Union County on the construction of the South Piedmont Regional Autopsy Center project located at 3502 East Highway 74 Wingate, NC 28174, adjacent to the Union County Sheriff's Office, will be accepting bids from pre-qualified bidders for the construction of the new medical examiner facility. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project scope includes a new 15,000 square feet autopsy and administration facility and associated site work and site improvements. The project is to have approximately a 14-month schedule starting in September 2026 through November 2027.
