PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF PROPERTY TRANSACTION Now, pursuant to §8.22 of the City of Charlotte Charter, the City of Charlotte ("City") hereby gives notice that the City proposes to sell, and Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region, Inc., a NC non-profit corporation ("Buyer") proposes to buy, in fee simple, the properties located and being 429 Coxe Avenue, 2610 Dundeen Street, 1727 Pegram Street, and 1809 Taylor Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina, identified as Mecklenburg County Tax Parcels #071-105-50, 069-062-42, 081-147-08, and 069-125-66, respectively (collectively, the "Property"). Material terms of the transaction are: a) total purchase price of $1.00; b) Buyer shall have 90 days of due diligence, followed by 30 days to close; c) the Property shall be restricted to development of affordable housing consisting of at least one residential housing unit per parcel, all of which shall serve families earning at or below 80% of the Charlotte NC metropolitan Area Median Income, and be subject to deed restrictions containing a 15-year affordability period; and d) the Property shall be subject to a reverter requiring the Property be developed and available for occupancy within three (3) years from the date of the Deed. The Charlotte City Council will consider and intends to authorize this proposed transaction at its regularly scheduled meeting on April 27, 2026, beginning at 6 pm in the meeting chamber of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center at 600 E.
