PUBLIC NOTICE of Amendment to Mecklenburg County Board of Health Rule Governing Residential Swimming Pools The Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners, as a Consolidated Human Services Agency (CHSA) exercising the powers and duties of a local board of health, which powers it has assumed and conferred on itself by action pursuant to N.C.G.S. 153A-77, repeals the Board of Health Rule, adopted March 7, 2023 under N.C.G.S 130A-39, which regulates residential swimming pools in Mecklenburg County. This Board of Health Rule is being repealed as required by Session Law 2025-94 (H929), which amended N.C.G.S. 130A-39 to remove local authority to adopt rules related to residential swimming pools. This notice was published on March 6, 2026, and the repeal shall be effective ten (10) days after the date of this publication upon Board approval.
