Notice to Bidders Blum Construction has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by Iredell County and will receive and publicly open sealed proposals from prequalified bidders for the construction of Phase 1 of the Iredell County Farmers Market project in Troutman, NC. Sealed bids will be delivered to the Conference Room of the Iredell County Public Library (201 N. Tradd Street, Statesville, NC 28677) and then read aloud. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Iredell County is constructing a new parking lot as Phase 1 of a multi-phased project for their existing fairgrounds in Troutman, NC. The new fairgrounds parking lot will add an additional 771 parking spaces and include associated site work. The bid opening process will be as follows: Tuesday, March 17, 2026: Bids will need to be dropped off at the Iredell County Public Library Conference Room (201 N. Tradd Street, Statesville, NC 28677). All sealed bids will be required to be placed in a sealed envelope labeled with the required details listed in the bid manual. Receipt of bids will close at 1:00pm - No bids or supplemental documents will be accepted after bid closing time. Bid opening will begin at 1:30pm and will be publicly read out loud. Bid opening will be held both in person and via video conferencing. We will go systematically by bid package until all qualified bids are read Any package not opened on the day of March 17 due to a lack of bids received will be rebid the following week on March 25 at 1:00pm. Principal trade contractors are solicited for the following packages: BP3100 Earthwork & Utilities | $1,795,000 BP3212 Asphalt Paving | $1,850,000 Additional packages may be added and deleted by the Owner and Construction Manager. RFI Questions are due Thursday, March 5, 2026 @ 4:00 pm. RFI Questions regarding the bid should be in writing and emailed to lauren.ashley@flblum.com on the RFI submission form located in the bid manual and this project's plan room; Questions submitted after the noted RFI deadline will not be answered. Blum Construction has a long-standing commitment to maximize minority and other HUB participation on all our projects, and we recognize the importance Iredell County places on minority and HUB participation. There is an established 10% MWBE participation goal on this project. Historically underutilized and minority business participation is strongly encouraged. If MWBE subcontractors require assistance with bonding or payment terms, please let us know. Blum Construction has the ability to create custom solutions to support a successful project outcome. Examples of Trade Partner Support include quick pay arrangements, modified insurance limits, bonding access or alternative bonding solutions, joint check agreements, disaggregation of bid packages, break out of materials and equipment to support cash flow.
