NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO NORTH CAROLINA GENERAL STATUTE §158-7.1. The City of Gastonia proposes to provide an Economic Development Grant pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 158-7.1, to Project DELOREAN. The Gastonia City Council intends, subject to public comment at the public hearing for which notice is hereby given, to approve the City's standard Level Three or Four Economic Development Incentive and a 2-year CIP grant. Project DELOREAN intends to invest approximately $53,000,000 in real estate improvements and machinery and equipment. The Gastonia City Council believes this project will stimulate and stabilize the local economy, promote business, increase the tax base, and create new jobs in the City. The Gastonia City Council shall hold a public hearing on the City's proposed grant at 6:00 o'clock p.m., in the Gaston County Courthouse, 325 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Way, Gastonia, North Carolina, Tuesday, February 17, 2025, at which time any person may be heard regarding the proposed grants described herein. All interested persons are invited to attend and present their views. Following the public hearing, the Gastonia City Council intends to consider the request to approve the grant.
