City of Charlotte
HUD FY 26 Annual Action Plan
City of Charlotte FY 27 Program Year
Public Forum Invitation
City of Charlotte residents are invited to attend one of three public forums to learn how federal funds are being spent in your community and share your ideas for new programs or projects. Questions and comments will be addressed during the session or in writing during the 30-day public comment period.
The FY26 Annual Action Plan serves as the City of Charlotte's application for federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Annual Action Plan outlines the use of the proposed entitlement grants:
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Home Investment Partnership Act (HOME)
Emergency Solution Grant (ESG)
Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA)
The Annual Action Plan is required by HUD and describes how federal funds will be used during HUD's FY 2026 and the City of Charlotte's FY 2027 program year (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027) to address housing and community development needs identified in the City's Consolidated Plan.
The Planning process provides an opportunity for the Charlotte Community to identify gaps in services and opportunities for collaboration within the City's current housing and community development efforts. The City of Charlotte encourages citizens to become involved in the development of the Annual Action Plan.
