ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Wheelwash Facility Foxhole Landfill Sealed bids [proposals] will be received by the Owner, Mecklenburg County, NC, in the Hoffman Conference Room at the Office of the Land Use and Environmental Services Agency [Address: 2145 Suttle Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28208; Attn: Amber Grzymski, Project Manager] until 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time on January 29, 2026, and then at said office be publicly opened and read aloud for the following: Wheelwash Facility: Includes construction of a wheel wash facility, wheel wash settling basin, installation of approximately 700 feet of six [6] inch PVC waterline and associated valves, asphalt surfacing, and other ancillary items. This is a rebid of the project and shall be in compliance with NCGS 143-132(a). Sealed bids shall be marked on the exterior: Foxhole Landfill- Wheelwash Facility, and with the name, address, and North Carolina Contractor License Number of the Bidder. A Performance and Payment Bond will be required for the successful Bidder in the amount of one hundred percent [100%] of the Contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract, payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, and payment of all liabilities incurred in connection with the Work under this Contract. Each Bidder must be appropriately licensed as a General Contractor in compliance with NCGS 87. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within 60 days after the date of Bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and any part of a Bid and to waive formalities and. technicalities in the bidding procedure. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the offices of Smith Gardner, Inc. located at 14 N. Boylan Avenue, Raleigh, North Carolina 27603, upon payment of $150.00 [non-refundable] for each set of documents. Each request for Contract Documents must be accompanied by a check made payable to "Smith Gardner, Inc." If sets are to be mailed, a non-refundable, fifty dollar [$50] postage and handling charge will be required. Electronic copies of the Contract Documents are available from the ENGINEER at no cost.
