PUBLIC NOTICE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (N.C.G.S. §158-7.1) Please take notice that, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute §158-7.1, the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Huntersville (the "Board") will hold a public hearing on January 6, 2025 at 6:00 PM at 14704 N. Old Statesville Road Huntersville, NC 28078 The public hearing concerns holding certain property owned by the Town of Huntersville (the "Property") for resale pursuant to N.C.G.S. §158-7.1(b)(2). The Property is more particularly described as follows: Tract I (Parcel ID: 019-031-15) BEING located in the Town of Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and beginning at a nail on the back of a sidewalk located on the northerly margin of the Huntersville-Concord Road, which point of beginning is likewise the common southwest corner of that property designated as First Tract conveyed to First Union National Bank of North Carolina, Trustee, by deed recorded in Book 45555 at Page 820 of the Mecklenburg County Registry, thence from said point of beginning, crossing said sidewalk, S. 85-15 W. 104 feet to a point in Huntersville-Concord Road on the present easterly right-of-way margin of Old Statesville Road (N.C. Highway 115) as extended; thence with said easterly right-of-way margin of Old Statesville Road N. 01-20-50 W. 169.20 feet to a point, a common corner of the property of Cecil Bradford, (now or formerly, see Deed Book 4111 at Page 940); thence with Bradford's line, N. 85-15 E., passing an existing iron pin at 8.91 feet, a total distance of 104 feet to an existing iron pin, the common corner of that tract of First Union National Bank of North Carolina, Trustee, above-referred to; thence with said line of First Union National Bank of North Carolina, Trustee S. 01-20-50 E. 169.20 feet to the point or place of the beginning, and being more particularly shown on a survey prepared by Herman D. Tract II (Parcel ID: 019-031-16) BEING a tract of land situated in the Town of Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and more particularly described and defined as follows: all that certain parcel of land situated in the City of Huntersville, County of Mecklenburg, and state of North Carolina, BEGINNING at a stake in the northern margin of College Street at a point 104 feet east of the northeast intersection of Highway #115 (Old Statesville Road) and College Street; and running thence . 85-15 E. 80 feet to a stake; thence N. 4-45 W. 169 feet to a stake; thence S. 85-15 W, 80 feet to a stake; thence S. 4-45 E. 169 feet to the point and place of the Beginning. Being the same property conveyed by Jennie Holbrook, single, to Dwight S. Cross, by Deed dated October 17, 1961, and recording in Book 2342, Page 433, in the Mecklenburg County Public Registry. The Town believes that the Property is suitable for commercial use and that it would be in the public interest to hold and resell the Property for economic development pursuant to G.S. 158-7.1(b)(2).
