THE CITY OF BRADENTON LOCATED IN THE
DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AREA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 163.380(3)(a) Florida Statutes, that the City of Bradenton (City), which is the owner of and intends to lease "as is" its interest in the following described real property:

All parties interested in leasing the property or in proposing other redevelopment or rehabilitation proposals for the property must submit a proposal within 30 calendar days of the publication date of this notice. The City will evaluate and consider all such proposals and the financial and legal ability of the persons making such proposals to carry them out. The City may negotiate with any persons for proposals for the lease of any real property acquired by it in the community redevelopment area. The City may accept such proposals as it deems to be in the public interest and in furtherance of Chapter 163, PART III, Florida Statutes. Pursuant to Section 163.380(1), Florida Statutes, the lease, or any development of the property, may be subject to such covenants, conditions, and restrictions, including covenants running with the land, if any, necessary and appropriate to further prevent slum and blighted areas, and to carry out the intent of the parties. In addition, any lessees, their successors, and assigns will be obligated to devote the property strictly to higher education uses especially those that include a conservatory, for a lease term of 5 years, and only to the uses specified in the Downtown Community Redevelopment Sustainable Redevelopment Plan, Municipal Land Use /Development Regulations, and in the public interest.
The property will be leased and subject to all zoning and land use limitations. All parties shall conduct such title searches and other investigations as the parties deem appropriate. The parties must rely solely upon their own research and not on any information provided by City staff.
The City Council has the right to reject any and all proposals at any time for any reason.
All proposals must be submitted to the City of Bradenton addressed to the Contact Person below in writing (email, mail, or in-person drop-off) no later than 3:30 pm EST, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2026. Submittals received after this deadline will not be considered.
There will be a Question-and-Answer period prior to the due date for submittals. All questions will be answered in writing by City staff, with responses posted on the City's website at www.cityofbradenton.com. Any inquiries or requests concerning interpretation, clarification, or additional information pertaining to this notice shall be made in writing to the City Representative at Jeff.Burton@bradentonfl.gov. Question submissions are due on or before Thursday, October 1, 2026.
