NOTICE OF INVITATION TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS/OFFERS IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONSIDERED SALE AND DISPOSITION OF REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF
BRADENTON, FLORIDA The City of Bradenton, Florida (the “City”) is the owner of, and is considering disposition of its interest in the following described real property:
1. Address: A 4.0 +/- Acre Portion of 1706 9th Street East (approximate location outlined in purple below) Parcel ID: 4633211009
The Parcel is subject to a Brownfield Site Rehabilitation Agreement (“BSRA”) dated December 3, 2025, regarding FDEP Site No. ERIC_18940 and Brownfield Site ID No. BF412502001. Pursuant to the BSRA any purchaser of this lot will be required to enter into a Purchase & Sale Agreement that contains terms and provisions agreeing to facilitate the Seller’s site rehabilitation. Further details will be provided upon request by email to corey.fortin@bradentonfl.gov. Any party who is interested in acquiring said real property is hereby instructed to submit five (5) copies and one (1) original of their proposals. All offers/proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “SEALED BID – CONSIDERED DISPOSITION OF REAL PROPERTY”. NOTE: The City will not open any envelope which is not properly marked. Proposals must be in writing and received by the Policy, Planning, Procedure & Real Estate Administrator no later than 2:30 p.m. (EST) on September 1, 2026. Proposals received after 2:30 p.m. (EST) on September 1, 2026, will be rejected and not opened. In the event that the City does not receive any proposals in response to this Notice of Disposition of Real Property or in the event that all proposals received by the Notice of Disposition of Real Property are rejected by the City, the City reserves the right to seek, negotiate, and accept proposals deemed to be in the public interest from any other person or entity without further notice. All proposals must be made within thirty (30) days after the date of publication of this Notice of Invitation and must include the following: proposed purchase price; a 10% deposit in the form of a certified or cashier’s check made payable to the City of Bradenton; proof of funds for cash purchase or a letter of credit from a lender for financing; a project description that includes the proposed intended use of the subject property, the scope of the project and a timeline for implementation; a proposed closing date; and the name address and contact information for the bidder. A bid form can be obtained by email request to Corey. Fortin@bradentonFL.gov. The deposit shall be forfeited to the City if the successful bidder fails to perform as specified after written notification of award. Any deposits received from unsuccessful bidders will be returned within five business days after a decision by City Council. All offers/proposals received by the submission deadline at 2:30p.m. (EST) on September 1, 2026, will be evaluated and considered by City Staff, who will then make a recommendation for consideration by City Council. This Notice of Invitation to offer does not constitute an agreement to sell or dispose of the property by the City. This is only a solicitation for proposals, and the City is under no obligation to accept or consider any proposal from any offeror. The City shall retain the right to do what is in the best interests of the City rela- tive to the subject parcel and may reject any and all offers. The City reserves the right to impose other conditions to the sale and/or the use of the property, and the final proposed agreement will be subject to approval by City Council. Respondents are encouraged to communicate any questions by Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Questions should be sent in writing via email to Corey.Fortin@bradentonfl.gov. All questions will be an- swered by the Policy, Planning, Procedure & Real Estate Administrator and posted on the City’s website – Housing & Community Development Page. Further information relating to this Invitation as is available may be obtained by contacting the Policy, Planning, Procedure & Real Estate Administrator. The property will be conveyed “AS IS”, generally by Quit Claim or Special Warranty Deed and there will be no representations or warranties of any kind from the City. The bidder agrees to take title to the property subject to all encumbrances affecting the property, if any. The successful bidder agrees to pay all closing costs, recording fees and documentary stamps.
