FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 BUDGET AND LEVY OF ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS
The Board of Trustees of the Bayshore Gardens Park and Recreation District will hold a public hearing and a regular meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Bayshore Gardens Recreation Hall, located at 6919 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida 34207, for the purpose of hearing comments and ob- jections on the adoption of the District budget and levy of annual assessments.
A copy of the agenda and proposed budget and assessments may be obtained at the District Office, 6919 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida 34207, (941) 755-1912, during normal business hours. The geographic boundaries of the District are generally depicted below:
The Board will also consider any other business which may properly come before it. The public hearing and meeting are open to the public and will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Florida law. All affected property owners shall have the right to appear at the public hearing and the right to file written objec- tions with the District prior to the public hearing. Res- idents subject to the assessment and present at such hearing shall have the right to vote on the proposed budget and assessments. The public hearing and/or meeting may be continued to a date, time, and place to be specified on the record at the hearing or meeting.
The annual assessments levied against benefitted properties will be shown on the property tax bill and collected by the tax collector. Failure to pay the assessments will cause a tax certificate to be issued against the property which may result in loss of title.
There may be occasions when one or more Trustees will participate by telephone or electronically. In ac- cordance with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accom-
modations at this meeting because of a disability or physical impairment should contact the District Manager at (941) 755-1912 at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting.
Each person who decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at the public hearing or meeting is advised that such person will need a record of proceedings and that according- ly, such person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which such appeal is to be based.
