PUBLIC NOTICE CEDAR HAMMOCK FIRE CONTROL DISTRIC PROPOSED NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENT Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Board of Fire Commissioners ("Board") of the Cedar Hammock Fire Control District ("District") will hold a public hearing. The public hearing will be held at Cedar Hammock Fire Control District Station 1, located at 5200 26th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34207. The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments from any property owner in the District regarding adopting Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Rates for 2026. Any property owner in the District has the right to file written comments and/or to testify at this hearing regarding the rate of assessment for 2026. At such time the Board is so authorized and may consider any business that may properly come before it. Following the public hearing, a regular business meeting of the Board will be held. A copy of the agenda may be obtained at the offices of the District, c/o Deputy Chief Matt Rose, 5200 26th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34207 ("District's Office") during normal business hours: Monday through Thursday from 07:00 am to 05:00 pm and will be posted on the District's official website: https://www.chfr.org No stenographic record by a certified court reporter is made of this meeting and hearing. If any person desires to appeal any decision of the Board of Appeals, that person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based pursuant to F.S. 286.0105.
