NOTICE OF HEARING CITY OF PALMETTO HEARINGS MAY BE CONTINUED FROM TIME TO TIME The Planning and Zoning Board will hold a Public Hearing on December 18, 2025, at 5:45 p.m. and the City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on January 26, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Palmetto City Hall Chambers, 516 8th Avenue West, Palmetto, Florida, to approve staff proposed updates to the Code of Ordinances to allow for consistency with Florida Statutes and for adoption of the following Ordinance: ORDINANCE NO.: 2025-10 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF PALMETTO, FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 26 OF THE PALMETTO CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING THE REQUIRING FOR AND PROCESSING OF SUBDIVISION PLATS; FINDING THE AMENDMENTS BE CONSISTENT WITH THE GOALS, OBJECTIVES, AND POLICIES OF THE ADOPTED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. If any person desires to appeal any decision of the City Commission or any other Board of the City, that person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Section 286.0105, F.S.) In addition, a complete legal description by metes and bounds and a copy of the Ordinance can be obtained from the Office of the Clerk or from the Development Services Division. Handicapped individuals may receive special accommodation in services on forty-eight (48) hours notice (Section 286.26, F.S.)
