PUBLIC HEARINGS 2025 FIRE ASSESSMENT CERTIFICATION 2025-2026 BUDGET ADOPTION Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners ("Board") of the West Manatee Fire and Rescue District ("District") will hold public hearings on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard at West Manatee Fire & Rescue District located at 701 63rd St. W., Bradenton, FL. The purpose of the first public hearing is to hear testimony and adopt the budget for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. A second public hearing is to hear appeals from any property owner in the District with respect to the method of calculation of the 2025 fire assessments levied against any parcel of property located within the fire district; such special assessments shall be a lien upon the land so assessed until said assessments have been paid. Following the public hearings, a regular business meeting of the Board will be held. No stenographic record by a certified court reporter is made of this meeting. If any person desires to appeal any decision of the Board of Fire Commissioners or of any other board of commission of the District, that person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, (F.S. 286.0105).
