VALLEY REGIONAL TRANSIT: LEGAL NOTICE OF OPEN HOUSE AND PUBLIC HEARING Proposed changes to Valley Regional Transit (VRT) service in Nampa and Caldwell. As provided by relevant statute, VRT provides public transportation services in Ada and Canyon County. Each year Nampa contributes funds for fixed route, paratransit, demand response, and specialized services within the City of Nampa. To meet the budgetary requests from the City of Nampa, VRT is proposing to reduce Nampa's annual contribution from $857,794 to approximately $500,000. This budget reduction will result in reductions and/or changes in one or more fixed route services, including the removal of Route 40 from Nampa and a change to the VRT On-Demand service model. VRT has scheduled an open house for the public to review the proposal and public hearing to gather testimony regarding these proposed changes.
