NOTICE OF SCHOOL TRUSTEE ELECTION DEADLINES FOR DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY Boise School District No. 1 Ada County, Idaho Public Notice, is hereby given according to law, and the requisite action of the Board of Trustees of the Boise School District No. 1, Ada County Idaho, that a School Board Trustee election will be held on September 1, 2026 according to the District Charter. Candidates interested in filing a declaration of candidacy must file beginning 8:00 a.m. on Monday June 15, 2026 and no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026 with the District Clerk. Only those qualified electors residing within the boundaries of the Boise School District may declare candidacy. The purpose of said election shall be to elect two Trustees to serve for a period of six (6) years, and one Trustee to serve for a period of four (4) years. The terms of office will begin on September 14, 2026 with a swearing in at the monthly Board Meeting. (Charter Section 10) A Declaration of Candidacy must be filed with the Board Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026. Each declaration of candidacy must bear the name and signature of the candidate, and bear the signatures of not less than five (5) qualified school district electors. Complete application packets may be picked up at the Clerk's office at 8169 W. Victory Road, Boise, Idaho or through a link on the District website, www.boiseschools.org. (Idaho Code, Section 34-1404) No write-in vote shall be counted unless a declaration of intent has been filed with the Board Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday July 3, 2026 indicating that the person desires the office and is legally qualified to assume the duties of school trustee if elected.
