NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING STAR SEWER and WATER DISTRICT In accordance with Idaho Code § 63-1311A, legal notice is hereby given that the Star Sewer and Water District Board of Directors will hold a public hearing on June 18, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at the Star Sewer and Water District Office, 10831 W. State Street, Star, Idaho 83669. The purpose of the hearing is to consider proposed fee increases exceeding five percent (5%) over the respective fees collected during the previous year. If approved, the proposed increases will take effect on August 1, 2026. The Board will also discuss the reasons for the proposed adjustments. The fees and rates to be considered are as follows: Current Water Rates Base Rate $25.60 <10,000 gallons Tier 1 $2.50/1k gal 10k - 15k gallons Tier 2 $5.00/1k gal >15k gallons Proposed Water Rates Base Rate $25.60 <3,000 gallons Tier 1 $2.00/1k gal 3k - 10k gallons Tier 2 $3.00/1k gal 10k - 20k gallons Tier 3 $4.00/1k gal >20k gallons Proposed Grandfathered Irrigation Rates Base Rate $25.60 <20,000 gallons Tier 1 $4.00/1k gal >20k gallons Proposed Commercial Rate Base Rate $25.60 per EDU¹ ¹Based on the adopted EDU schedule. Current Sewer Rates Base Rate $54.25 <10,000 gallons Tier 1 $2.50/1k gal 10k - 15k gallons Tier 2 $5.00/1k gal >15k gallons Proposed Sewer Rates Base Rate $54.25 <3,000 gallons Tier 1¹ $4.50/1k gal >30k gallons ¹Sewer rates will be based on the average winter usage (Nov - Feb). Public testimony is encouraged at the hearing. Written comments will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on June 17, 2026, and may be submitted by email to testrada@starswd.com. Both written and verbal comments will be received and considered during the public hearing. Individuals requiring accessible communication aids, services, or other accommodations to participate are encouraged to contact the District’s 504/ADA Coordinator (Clerk) at 208-286-7388.
