LEGAL NOTICE OF INTENT TO SELL - STRUVITE FERTILIZER
The City of Boise (City) produces struvite (magnesium ammonium phosphate) at the West Boise Water Renewal Facility (WB WRF) located at 11818 Joplin Rd., Boise ID as part of its biosolids recycling and reuse program. The struvite produced by the City complies with all federal, state, and local regulations governing wastewater derived materials. Struvite is a slow-release fertilizer that provides phosphorus to agricultural crops, turfgrass, ornamental plantings, trees, and other vegetation. Potential applications include large-scale crop production, turf management, landscaping, greenhouses, nurseries, urban gardens, and other fertilizer uses.
The City is now accepting letters of interest to purchase struvite in bulk quantities for an initial twelve-month period, with two optional twelve-month renewal periods. Letters must be submitted to the WB WRF at the address listed above during normal business hours and must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. (local time) on June 8, 2026.
