BY THE COUNCIL CORLESS, HALLYBURTON, MORALES, NASH, STEAD AND WILLITS.
AN ORDINANCE (ZOA25-00001) AMENDING THE SYRINGA VALLEY SPECIFIC PLAN 2016 (SP-03), AS IMPLEMENTED BY TITLE 11, CHAPTER 07, SECTION 03, TO ESTABLISH THE MINIMUM SQUARE FOOTAGE OF COMMERCIAL SPACE WITHIN THE VC (VILLAGE CENTER) SUBDISTRICT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on January 31, 2017, the city of Boise City by Ordinance No. ORD-1-17 adopted the Syringa Valley Specific Plan and amended Boise City Code Title 11 to include the Syringa Valley Specific Plan District; and,
WHEREAS, on December 8, 2025, following a public hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission for the city of Boise City recommended approval of ZOA25-00001, amendment to the Syringa Valley Specific Plan; and,
WHEREAS, on April 7, 2025, the Boise City Council, following a public hearing, approved adoption of ZOA25-00001, amendment to the Syringa Valley Specific Plan, to establish the commercial square footage within the VC subdistrict to be between 45,000 and 60,000 square feet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOISE CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That the Syringa Valley Specific Plan, as implemented by Boise City Code Title 11, Chapter 07, Section 03 is hereby amended to establish the minimum commercial square footage within the VC subdistrict to be between 45,000 and 60,000 square feet.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect immediately upon its passage, approval, and publication.
