PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
SNAP EMPLOYMENT &
TRAINING (E&T) SUBGRANT
RENEWAL – LEARNING LAB
PURPOSE
This Public Hearing Notice is to gather public comment on the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare's consideration of renewing an existing SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) subgrant with Learning Lab.
The SNAP Employment & Training program provides individuals who receive SNAP (food assistance) with the skills, training, and experience they need to improve their employment opportunities. The goal of the program is to help individuals on their path to self-sufficiency and reduce their reliance on state benefits. Learning Lab currently works with the Department as a subgrantee, meaning it provides approved E&T services on behalf of the State.
This hearing gives members of the public an opportunity to share input on whether the Department should continue working with Learning Lab as a subgrantee for the SNAP E&T program.
MATERIALS AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW:
Materials available for public review include the SNAP E&T State Plan, which describes the services offered through the E&T program and explains how the State of Idaho works with subgrantees to deliver those services. https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap-et/stateplan/idaho
