LEGAL NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID – PO# - P2601457 Sealed bid proposals will be received by The Board of Trustees, Independent School District of Boise City #1, 8169 W Victory Rd, Boise, ID 83709 until 2:30 pm local time, on January 27, 2026, for the Cynthia Mann Elementary School Fire Alarm System Upgrade Project, 5401 W Castle Dr., Boise, ID 83703 The work will consist of: Design, provision, and installation of all equipment necessary for a code compliant non-proprietary voice evacuation fire alarm system. A pre-bid conference will be held at the project site, 5401 W Castle Dr., Boise, ID 83703 on 19 January 2026 at 9:00 am. Attendance is strongly recommended. Meet at the main school entrance on the west side of the school building. Bids will be opened at the Administrative Office, 8169 W Victory Rd, Boise, ID 83709 and read aloud, following the closing time for receipt of bids. Bidders and other interested parties are invited to be present at bid opening. Scope of Work: Replace main fire alarm control panel with a Silent Knight 6820 EVS addressable fire system with emergency voice evacuation capability. Provide smoke coverage throughout building, replace all existing duct detectors with new detectors, provide isolation modules from main structure to portable buildings, provide classroom carbon monoxide and smoke detection along with proper voice notification throughout the facility. New AES radio equipment with network capabilities will be installed and integrated into the new system. Demolition and removal of old system and components. Existing security system equipment and service to remain. Construction to commence on or about 26 May 2026 and must be substantially complete by 1 August 2026. All work will be compliant with current NFPA 72 requirements and any Federal, State, local and District requirements. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier's Check on an Idaho bank, or bid bond with an Idaho state licensed surety company, as surety, in an amount not less than 5% of total bid, made payable to the Independent School District of Boise City. This surety shall be forfeited by the Bidder in the event of failure to sign contract or furnish the necessary 100% Performance Bond and the 100% Payment Bond. Bidders shall be licensed in the State of Idaho, in accordance with provisions of an act known as "Public Works Contractor's State License Law, Title 54, Chapter 19, Idaho Code Amended. The term "Public Works Contractor" includes the general, all sub-contractors, and specialty contractors. The bidder's name must agree with the name on the public works license that is referenced in the bid.
