NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING INCREASING FEES I.C §63-1311A STAR FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT LEGAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th day of January 2026, at Star Fire Protection District, 11665 W. State St., Ste. B, Star, Idaho, the Board of Commissioners of the Star Fire Protection District will receive comments regarding the Board of Commissioners’ intent to make a decision to increase current fees which is in accordance with the following (for a complete list of all existing fees, please contact our office): STAR FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT FEES FEE TYPE FEE AMOUNT PROPOSED NEW FEE AMOUNT Apparatus Maintenance Service Fees: Mechanic Services $ 120.00 Per Hour $150.00 Per Hour Preventative Maintenance Services $ 110.00 Per Hour $140.00 Per Hour Travel time for Mechanic and/or $ 110.00 Per Hour $140.00 Per Hour Preventive Maintenance Services provided when greater than 30 miles from the Apparatus Maintenance Station. Basis of Authority: The Star Fire Protection District has the authority and is required pursuant to Idaho Code § 63-1311 and Idaho Code § 63-1311A to provide notice of intention to impose and cause to be collected fees for services provided which would otherwise be funded by property tax revenues; and The above referenced Star Fire Protection District Fees have been preliminarily determined by the Board of Commissioners to be reasonable in relationship to the cost of providing the services by the Fire District; and, All persons are invited to attend the public hearing and to provide comment on the proposed fee increases and fee to be established.
