SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 955 The following is a summary of Ordinance No. 955, adopted by the City Council of the City of Eagle, Ada County, Idaho, on November 17, 2025. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, ADA COUNTY IDAHO, AMENDING TITLE 7 "BUILDING REGULATIONS," CHAPTER 6 "DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE", ADDING SECTION 19 "JAIL"; ADDING SECTION 20 "CORONER", AND SECTION 21 "EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES", AND PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, Ada County, Idaho: A summary of the principal provisions of Ordinance No. 955 of the City of Eagle, Ada County, Idaho as adopted by Eagle City Council on November 17, 2025, are as follows: Section 1: Amending Title 7, Chapter 6, to include Section 19, "Jail impact fees" of the Eagle City Code. Imposes Jail impact fees on new developments within the City of Eagle, with the fees to be collected by the City and transferred to Ada County under an intergovernmental agreement. The fees will be used exclusively for jail-related projects as outlined in the Ada County Jail Capital Improvement Plan. The funds will be maintained by the County and placed in a Capital Projects Fund and maintained in interest-bearing accounts. Ada County is required to keep accurate financial records and provide an annual accounting of the funds and projects funded. Section 2: Amending Title 7, Chapter 6, to include Section 20, "Coroner impact fees". Imposes Coroner impact fees on new developments within the City of Eagle, with the fees to be collected by the City and transferred to Ada County under an intergovernmental agreement. The fees will be used exclusively for jail-related projects as outlined in the Ada County Jail Capital Improvement Plan. The funds will be maintained by the County and placed in a Capital Projects Fund and maintained in interest-bearing accounts. Ada County is required to keep accurate financial records and provide an annual accounting of the funds and projects funded. Section 3: Amending Title 7, Chapter 6, to include Section 21, "Emergency Medical Services impact fees" of the Eagle City Code. Imposes Emergency Medical Services impact fees on new developments within the City of Eagle, with the fees to be collected by the City and transferred to Ada County under an intergovernmental agreement. The fees will be used exclusively for jail-related projects as outlined in the Ada County Jail Capital Improvement Plan. The funds will be maintained by the County and placed in a Capital Projects Fund and maintained in interest-bearing accounts. Ada County is required to keep accurate financial records and provide an annual accounting of the funds and projects funded. Section 4: Providing a severability clause. Section 5: Direct the City Clerk to codify the adopted ordinance and publish it in the official newspaper in accordance with Idaho State Code in addition to identifying an effective date.
