NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that York City Council will hold a public hearing concerning Ordinance No. 26-803, which proposes to annex and rezone certain property located along SC HWY 161 and SC HWY 5 into the City of York and assign the property an R-8, Single-Family Detached Residential zoning classification. The annexation and rezoning request to R-8 includes three parcels not located within the City of York identified as tax parcels 395-00-00-003, 395-00-00-093, 395-00-00-019 (+/- 26.581Acres). The statutory authority for this annexation is South Carolina Code of Laws, Section 5-3-150(3). For parcels 070-25-01-028 and 070-25-02-004 (+/- 47.277 Acres), which are currently located within the City of York, the request is for rezoning to R-8 Single-Family Detached Residential only. The proposed annexation and rezoning would facilitate a residential development of approximately 130 single-family detached lots. The public hearing will be held in the City of York Council Chambers located at 10 N. Roosevelt Street in York, SC on Tuesday November 3rd, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
