ADVERTISEMENT TO BID EAST TOWER ROOF REPLACEMENT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL GULFPORT Memorial Hospital at Gulfport will receive Sealed Bids with Qualification Statements until October 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM for the furnishing of all labor and material and performing all work necessary and incidental to bid East Tower Roof Replacement – Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, in accordance with Drawings and Project Manual. Bids will be received as a single lump sum bid package. PROJECT SCOPE: Memorial Hospital at Gulfport is soliciting bids for the East Tower Roof Replacement, a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Project, generally consisting of removal of the existing modified bitumen recover roof and underlying built-up roofing down to the structural concrete deck; installation of a new modified bitumen roofing assembly with tapered insulation, cover board, flashings, edge metal, penetrations, terminations, and waterproofing components; and associated resiliency improvements for a Risk Category IV essential facility designed for 185-mph ultimate wind speed. The work also includes raising and modifying rooftop curbs and access thresholds, elevating and reconnecting seven existing rooftop condensing/compressor units and one exhaust hood, providing wind rated equipment supports and galvanized steel pipe stanchions, modifying aluminum access stair supports, coating exterior penthouse CMU walls, weatherizing selected doors, and performing all related structural, mechanical, electrical, hoisting, scaffolding, temporary protection, access, sequencing, and coordination necessary to maintain safe, continuous hospital operations during construction. The Project Scope of Work will be performed while areas outside of the defined project Limits of Work are occupied by Memorial Hospital. Strict conformance to applicable hospital safety, temporary protection, access, sequencing, and coordination requirements is required, and bidders shall be able to demonstrate the ability to perform this Scope of Work in this operational healthcare environment. A non-resident contractor shall attach to his proposal a copy of his resident state's current law pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors.
