PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSISTENCY DETERMINATION UNDER THE COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT ACT MDMR Artificial Reef Bureau has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state's approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act. The applicant is requesting to maintenance 63 inshore artificial reef areas throughout Jackson, Harrison, and Hancock counties. Each low-profile reef is approximately 10 acres in size and will be maintenanced with cultch material consisting of oyster shell, crushed concrete, or limestone.
