View original fileCITY OF BILOXI 2026 CDBG ACTION PLAN COMBINED NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING, PUBLIC REVIEW DRAFT AVAILABILITY
AND 30-DAY COMMENT PERIOD
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has announced that the City of Biloxi will receive a Program Year 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) allocation of $424,801 and anticipates generating program income of approximately $183,050 for eligible CDBG activities, based on previous years’ resources. The City will conduct a second public hearing at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in the Community Development Auditorium, located at 676 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, to give Biloxi residents opportunity to:
• Present oral or written input about City housing, community development and supportive housing needs; and • Participate in development and implementation of the 2026 CDBG Action Plan, a component of the Five-Year
Consolidated Plan.
Residents are urged to attend, particularly low, very low, extremely low income and public housing residents, minorities, and those with mobility, visual, and hearing impediments. Those individuals who wish to participate but may be hindered by disabilities or are non-English speaking are urged to call the Biloxi Federal Programs Office at 228-435-6269 at least three (3) working days prior to June 23, 2026 so reasonable arrangements can be made.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, a Public Review Draft of the Biloxi 2026 CDBG Action Plan will be posted on the City website www.biloxi.ms.us/cdbg/ and will be available for review at the following locations: Biloxi City Hall 140 Lameuse Street Biloxi Community Development 676 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Biloxi Housing Authority 330 Benachi Avenue Biloxi Library Branches Written comments regarding the draft and the housing and non-housing needs of the City will be received during a 30-day comment period beginning on Wednesday, June 24 and must be received by 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2026 to be considered.
