MAYES was the owner of the subject property in this matter one hundred eighty (180) days prior to the end of the redemption period and entitled to notice of forfeiture pursuant to Miss. Code Ann. §27-43-1. He did not receive proper statutory notice thereby making the applicable tax sale void ab initio and the Chancery Clerk had no authority to grant a Chancery Clerk's Conveyance to WOODMARK INVESTMENTS.
