LEGAL NOTICE The Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District Area Agency on Aging and the Mississippi Department of Human Services, Division of Aging and Adult Services, will conduct a public hearing on behalf of Mississippians age 60 and older. The hearing will be held at Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District Office (Hattiesburg) , 914 Sullivan Drive, Hattiesburg, 395401 MS beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The purpose of this hearing is to present the State Plan for Aging and the Update Area Plan for Aging for Federal Fiscal Year 2027. The Area Plan for Aging is for the fifteen southernmost counties of Mississippi. Written comments will also be accepted through July 3, 2026 and should be mailed to the attention of Thania Coyne, Senior Services Assistant Division Director, Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District, 10441 Corporate Drive Suite #1, Gulfport, MS 39503.
