PUBLIC NOTICE - Community Planning Meeting for CDBG-DR Disaster Recovery Activities Thursday, May 14, 2026. The City of Moss Point, the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, and the Stennis Institute of Government at Mississippi State University invite you to attend a discussion regarding future development and economic revitalization in Moss Point. The purpose of this public meeting is to gather public input on unmet recovery needs, proposed programs, and priorities for long-term disaster recovery related to damages from straight-line winds, severe storms, and tornadoes that occurred during June of 2023. This meeting is held in accordance with the HUD CDBG-DR Universal Notice and the Federal Register Notice FR-6512-N-01 (90 FR 4759, January 16, 2025), which establishes requirements for public engagement, transparency, and Plan development. In accordance with HUD CDBG-DR Universal Notice, meaningful access will be provided to all residents, including individuals with disabilities, individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP), and members of protected classes.
