COMBINED NOTICE OF INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
AND PUBLIC HEARINGS REGARDING DEVELOPMENT OF THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
2026 ACTION PLAN
Notice is hereby given that information relative to the planning and development of the City of Pascagoula's 2026 Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Program is available for public review, as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Information and documents available for review include but are not limited to the following:
CDBG General Program Rules and Regulations;
Pascagoula Citizen Participation Plan; and
Pascagoula Residential Anti-Displacement and Relocation Assistance Plan.
Information listed above and other records regarding the City's 2026 Action Plan are available in the Pascagoula Community Development Department, located in temporary offices of City Hall at 535 Delmas Avenue, between the hours 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Information pertinent to the planning of the CDBG One-Year Annual Action Plan is available to the public for a period of at least five (5) years.
Notice also is given that the City of Pascagoula is in the early stages of planning and developing its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2026 Action Plan, funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
HUD has allocated the City of Pascagoula a Program Year (PY) 2026 CDBG Entitlement Program allocation of $257,285.00. No program income is anticipated to be generated during PY2026. The PY2026 Action Plan will identify activities to be supported with CDBG funds during the period October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027.
Two public hearings are scheduled to give Pascagoula citizens and other interested stakeholders opportunity to:
Present oral or written input about City housing, non-housing community development and supportive public service needs; and
Participate in developing and implementing the City's CDBG 2026 Action Plan.
All citizens, particularly those of low, very low and extremely low income, minorities, residents of public housing and those with disabilities, are encouraged to provide input through oral and written comments at one or both of the two public hearings scheduled as follows:
4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026 and
4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026
at the
Pascagoula Senior Center

Development of the PY2026 Action Plan is a coordinated and cooperative effort of the City of Pascagoula, other local governments, the Mississippi Regional Housing Authority VIII, social service agencies, private groups, non-profit organizations, and other interested residents.
