HEARING NOTICE PASCAGOULA PLANNING BOARD Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Planning Board of the City of Pascagoula on Wednesday May 13, at 6:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Pascagoula Senior Center at 1912 Live Oak Avenue, Pascagoula, Mississippi, to hear the application of: Victor Sign Company for Academy For: The request is for a variance to allow a 636.64 square foot wall sign on front of building and 391.08 on the side of building. At: 54201 Denny Ave. The property is zoned Regional Commercial (CC) and located in the City of Pascagoula, Jackson County, Mississippi, and is more particularly described as follows to wit: Commencing at a ½ inch iron rebar marking the intersection of the existing northerly right of way line of Denny Avenue (US Highway 90) (A 220 foot wide Public Right of way) with the existing Easterly right of way line of Searstown Road/Veterans Boulevard ( A 66 foot wide public right of way); Thence along ais Easterly right of way the following three (3) bearing and distance to the point of beginning: North 35 degrees 33 minutes 05 seconds West 256.36 feet to a found ½ inch iron rebar; North 28 degrees 39 minutes 28 seconds West 36 .56 feet to a found ½ inch iron rebar; North 15 degrees 42 minutes 19 seconds West 13.24 feet to a point for corner and the point of beginning for this Tract; Thence along said Easterly right of way the following four (4) bearings and distances: North 15 degrees 42 minutes 19 seconds West 61.91 feet to a found ½ inch iron rebar; North 08 degrees 01 minutes 01 seconds West 80.06 feet to a found ½ inch iron rebar; North 00 degrees 07 minutes 28 seconds West 44.16 feet to a found PK nail; Thence North 00 degrees 20 minutes 04 seconds East 283.64 feet to a found ½ inch iron rebar marking the intersection of said Easterly right of way line with the Southerly line of that particular property as recorded in deed Book 1196, Page 357. Thence departing said right of way line, North 54 degrees 25 minutes 37 seconds East, along said southern property line for a distance of 321.61 feet to a found ½ inch iron rebar: Thence South 35 degrees 36 minutes 31 seconds East, along the Southwesterly line of said property as recorded in Deed Book 1196, Page 357, for a distance of 355.02 feet to a found scribed X; Thence continuing South 19 degrees 02 minutes 54 seconds East, along said property line for a distance of 31.32 feet to a found ½ iron rebar; Thence continuing along said property line, and the Southwesterly line of that particular property as recorded in Deed Book 1371, Page 308 South 35 degrees 36 minutes 59 seconds East (Passing through a scribed X at 95.11 feet, marking the North westerly corner of said property recorded in Deed Book 1371, Page 308) for a total distance of 314.94 feet to a found scribed "X": marking the Southwest corner of said property recorded in Deed Book 1371, Page308, said point lying on the aforementioned Northerly right of way line of Denny Avenue (U.S. Highway 90); Thence South 54 degrees 25 minutes 26 seconds West along said Northerly right of way line for a distance of 422.36 feet to the point;312.14 feet to a point for corner. Thence North 35 degrees 33 minutes 05 seconds West a distance of 312.14 feet to a point for corner; Thence 54 degrees 26 minutes 55 seconds east a distance of 92.52 feet to a point for corner; Thence South 46 degrees 06 minutes 45 seconds East a distance of 48.95 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 309.254 square feet (7.10 acres). Interested parties may appear at the hearing and speak and submit evidence and written comments on the application. Written comments may be submitted before the hearing, and additional information may be obtained about the application or review process, at the Planning & Building office at 4015 14th Street between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. After the above hearing, the Planning Board will make a recommendation to the City Council of the City of Pascagoula as to what action should be taken on the above application. The date the application will be presented to the City Council will be announced during the hearing at the Planning Board.
