You have been made a Defendant in this suit filed in this Court by the DEPARTMENT OF MARINE RESOURCES, seeking relief pursuant to the Derelict Vessel Act, Miss. Code Ann. §49-27-71 (Rev. 2022), including a mandatory injunction against you for the removal, disposal, of a derelict vessel; and related relief including the restoration of wetlands and applicable fines. A copy of the Complaint & Notice is readily available to you upon request to Plaintiff or the Harrison County Chancery Clerk. Defendants other than you in this action are DARREL THOMAS BRADLEY, the described vessel, and all other persons claiming any interest in the derelict vessel. You are required to mail or hand deliver a copy of a written response to the Complaint and Notice to Steven Eckert, Special Assistant Attorney General of Mississippi, the attorney for the Plaintiff, whose mailing address is 2555 14th Street, Gulfport, Mississippi 39501. Your response must be mailed or delivered not later than thirty (30) days after the 22nd day of March 2026, which is the date of the first publication of this summons. If your response is not so mailed or delivered, a judgment by default will be entered against you for money or other relief demanded in the Complaint. You must also file the original of your Response with the Clerk of this Court within a reasonable time afterward.
