PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSISTENCY DETERMINATION UNDER THE COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT ACT TGHP, LLC has filed notice of a proposed project which requires review by the MS Department of Marine Resources to ensure compliance with the state's approved Coastal Program under the Coastal Zone Management Act. The applicant has requested after-the-fact certification for a 5-foot by 160-foot pier with a 23-foot by 41-foot terminal dock (previously approved for a 4-foot by 140-foot pier with a 10-foot by 40-foot terminal dock), 16-pilings located between previously approved finger piers, an intake canal measuring 30-foot long by 8-foot wide by 6-foot deep, and 68-linear foot bulkhead around the canal. In addition, the applicant has proposed to construct a 6-foot by 88-foot pier extension, a 12-foot by 40-foot terminal dock with 6 mooring pilings, and seven (7) finger piers measuring 4-foot wide by 24-foot long to accommodate 14 boat slips with lifts, requiring an additional 44 pilings. The purpose of the pier extension is for temporary mooring of a water taxi and other boats, the boat slips are for long-term mooring of boats owned by the landowner, and the excavated canal is for a fire suppression system required by the Harrison County Fire Marshal.
