ORDINANCE NO. 12-2025 CITY OF PASCAGOULA, MISSISSIPPI AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PASCAGOULA, MISSISSIPPI AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE I, SECTION 2-3 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING THE LOCATION OF CITY HALL WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article I, Section 2-3 of the Code of Ordinances establishes the location of City Hall at 603 Watts Avenue; WHEREAS, the City of Pascagoula is preparing to begin the renovation of City Hall, which will preclude the use of the building during the renovation period; and WHEREAS, during the renovation period, the offices currently located at City Hall will be temporarily relocated to 535 Delmas Avenue; and WHEREAS, during the renovation period, City Council meetings will be temporarily held at the Senior Center, located at 1912 Live Oak Avenue; and WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interests to amend Chapter 2, Article I, Section 2-3 of the Code of Ordinances to address these temporary locations for City services and meetings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCAGOULA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Article I, Section 2-3 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby repealed and replaced with the following: Effective immediately, the location for City Hall shall be 535 Delmas Avenue. Beginning February 1, 2026, the location for City Council meetings shall be at the Senior Center at 1912 Live Oak Avenue. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become effective as provided by law. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be codified.
