WHATCOM COUNTY NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A SHORELINE SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT Notice is hereby given that on 7/20/2026, Chris Schiller applied for a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit under case number SHR2026-00014 for installation of underground telecommunications infrastructure within the existing public road right-of-way along Lake Whatcom Boulevard, in order to expand telecommunications services to the surrounding community. The application was determined complete on 8/7/2026, indicating that all submittal requirements were met The project site is located at the public right-of-way along Lake Whatcom Blvd, within Section 8, Township 37N, Range 04E of W.M. The application will be reviewed under the Official Whatcom County Zoning and Critical Areas Ordinances, as well as reviews by Whatcom County Planning and Development Services (Fire Marshal's Office, Natural Resources and Planning), Public Works Engineering and Health Department.
