The Project also includes the removal of Taxiway C and 0.75 acres of the northwest decommissioned runway. The Project will be constructed in a single phase, beginning in the summer of 2027 and is expected to achieve substantial completion in 91 calendar days. Location of proposal: The project will be at Bellingham International Airport, adjacent to the existing aircraft runway. The site is within the NE 1/4 of Section 15, Township 38 North, Range 2 East, W.M., Whatcom County, Washington, located at 4255 Mitchell Way, Bellingham, WA 98226. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c).
