Bellingham School District No. 501 Project: High School Gym AV and Electrical Upgrades RFP ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Briefly, the scope of the work includes: This project consists of targeted upgrades to a Squalicum High School and Bellingham High School gymnasium's electrical, low-voltage, and audio-visual systems, delivered through an engineered systems procurement via RCW 39.04.290 due to schedule constraints and the need for early contractor design expertise. Given the accelerated timeline, the district is unable to develop complete bid-ready drawings and specifications suitable for a traditional competitive bidding procurement via RCW 39.04.105. Instead, scope definition, system design, and installation requirements will be developed collaboratively as the project progresses through coordination with specialty contractors, equipment vendors, and stakeholders. RFPs are due May 5th, 2026 at 3pm.
