PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD WA State Dept of Ecology - Westman Marine Cleanup Site March 23, 12:00 am–April 21, 11:59 pm, 2026 The Westman Marine cleanup site is in the Blaine Harbor industrial area of Blaine, WA. Past boatyard activities caused soil and sediment contamination above WA State cleanup levels established to protect human health and the environment. Ecology seeks public input on two documents: a consent decree (legal agreement) requiring the Port to carry out Ecology’s Cleanup Action Plan to address contamination at the site, and an updated public participation plan.
