WHATCOM COUNTY NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT Notice is hereby given that on December 31, 2025, Bryan and Tressa VanLoo applied for a Conditional Use Permit under case number CUP2025-00014 to replace an existing non-conforming mobile home with a 2,200 square foot one-story stick-built home per Whatcom County Code 20.80.032. The application was determined complete on January 8, 2026 indicating that all submittal requirements were met. The subject property is located at 2039 Halverstick Road Lynden, WA 98264. within Section 02, Township 40, Range 03 of W.M. Assessor's parcel number(s): 4003024485080000. The application will be reviewed under the Official Whatcom County Zoning and Critical Areas Ordinances, as well as reviews by Whatcom County Planning and Development Services (Fire Marshal's Office, Natural Resources and Planning), Public Works Engineering and Health Department. The file and supporting documents may be reviewed at Whatcom County Planning and Development Services, 5280 Northwest Drive, Bellingham, WA 98226. Any person may submit written comments to Charles Sullivan, the above address or at csulliva@co.whatcom.wa.us within 14 days of the publication of this notice. Written comments must be received by March 23, 2026. Any person has the right to receive notice of and participate in any hearings, request a copy of the decision once made, and to appeal a decision when allowed by law.
