NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois RE: State of Illinois Paratransit Vehicle Grant for St. Clair County Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois. Date: September 7, 2026 Time: 9:00 am – 10:00 am Location: Conference Room, 3515 North Belt West, Belleville, IL 62226 For the purpose of considering a project for which financial assistance is being sought from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), pursuant to IDOT's general authority to make such grants, and which is generally described as follows: Description of project: Epilepsy Foundation is requesting funds for one vehicle used to transport elderly and disabled residents. The cost of the medium duty 7 passenger mini-van with ramp is $75,000. This project will be included in a Consolidated Vehicle Procurement (CVP) Program undertaken by the State of Illinois on behalf of the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois with federal funds. Relocation – Relocation Assistance will not be Environment – This project is being implemented to minimize environmental Comprehensive Planning – This project is in conformance with comprehensive transportation planning in the area. Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities – All new equipment included in this project will meet ADA-accessibility requirements for seniors and individuals with disabilities. At the hearing, the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental aspects of the project.
