BID PROPOSAL CITY OF FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS COUNCIL CHAMBERS RENOVATION INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS: The City of Fairview Heights, Illinois is accepting bids to provide all labor, equipment and material necessary for the Fairview Heights Council Chambers Renovation project in the City of Fairview Heights Municipal Building. All bids shall be placed on the form provided, and returned in a sealed envelope with the name and address of the bidder, and marked "FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS COUNCIL CHAMBERS RENOVATION" on the front, addressed to the Public Works Committee, c/o City Clerk, 10025 Bunkum Road, Fairview Heights, IL 62208. Any sealed envelope not marked as designated above will not be accepted as a bid. All bids must be received prior to 2:00 p.m., August 12, and will be opened at that time. Information may be obtained from the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, Telephone 618-489-2020, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Beginning on Monday, July 22, bidding documents may be obtained at the office of the City Clerk, 10025 Bunkum Road, Fairview Heights, Illinois 62208 or electronically by contacting the Public Works Department at 618-489-2020. A deposit is not required for each set with a one set maximum per contractor. Additional copies may be obtained from Snow Printing Company at the contractor's expense. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 9:00 a.m., at the Fairview Heights Municipal Building, 10025 Bunkum Road, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Contractors are required to attend the pre-bid meeting and visit the project site. This project is a "prevailing wage" project. The successful contractor and all subcontractors performing work on this project shall enter into an Illinois Project Labor Agreement with the City of Fairview Heights. The successful contractor shall meet utilization goals based on the availability of State-certified vendors to perform the anticipated direct subcontracting opportunities of the utilization plan.
